For me, owning and breeding Tollers is a way of life that centers around a deep respect for the breed. There is an immense sense of pride in seeing a puppy you’ve raised from birth grow into a confident, healthy adult that truly represents the breed standard. My goal is always to produce dogs that not only look the part but have the steady, kind temperaments that make them a joy to live with. Nothing quite matches the feeling of seeing my puppies flourish in their new homes, and when I see them being placed in shows with their new families, it fills me with genuine pride to know I’ve sent a quality dog into the world.Showing is where that passion meets the fun of the community. It’s incredibly rewarding to step into the ring and have a judge recognize the quality of the dogs I've put so much time and heart into. Earning Studbook numbers or qualifying for Crufts feels like a shared win between me and my dogs, but the real reward is the bond built through the training and travel. It’s about the thrill of a good critique and the satisfaction of knowing that my breeding program is contributing something positive to the future of the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.
